- My experience in bringing the princesses of my chapter to the banquet
When I learned about this activity, I was really excited especially when the theme "Princess Diaries" was announced...I eagerly shared the invitation to my chapter and I saw that there were sisters who were as eager as I was to attend...When the fees and the final venues were announced, hesitations began to arise - we`re from the South and going to the conference would be quite hard. But still I knew I should convince them to go, simply because I was truly convinced that this year`s She`s All That was something to look forward to. Honestly, I stormed God with prayers and just trusted Him for everything. And then a couple of weeks before the deadline, I only had a few sisters who were sure of going. I even had hesitations in sending the list to my cluster head. Part of my heart was asking "Lord have you chosen only 5 sisters to go?" Because when I was being asked for the final list of attendees most of them had reasons of not being available for the conference..But deep inside I was really hoping that they may change their minds. I am so thankful that even the knights in our chapter and my fellow princesses in the cluster who were as convinced as I was really helped out for these princesses to change their minds and just attend the wonderful banquet the King has prepared for them. And a day before the deadline, our princesses totalled to 25! Wow, I was really amazed with how the Lord worked...But what was amazing was on the second deadline there was another sister who asked me to pay for her and still 2 others walked in on the big day itself (final count was 28).
God was so good to our princesses, He gave them the best experience - one they didn`t expect! That`s one of the reactions I got from them after the conference, I never heard any complaint - only praises. They said that the talks were really inspiring as well as the sharings. They didn`t mind the late lunch we had and even when we extended the conference schedule almost all of them stayed because they really enjoyed listening and also watching every creative number during that day. What really amazed them was the tiaras given to them , they were so ecstatic and they felt captivating! They wore them not only during the praisefest but even after the conference. Some of them wore it from Miriam College all the way to Paranaque, passing the malls and riding the public transportations like the LRT 2. Never mind the different reactions they got from the people who saw them wearing their tiaras. It really made me smile listening to their stories while they were on their way to a fellowship that we had after the men and women`s conference. I even received an email from a sister thanking me for convincing them to go and she also feels that the conference fee she paid was not enough for all the wonderful experiences they had last Sunday. I really praised God for blessing each and every SFC princess Big time!
- My experience as a Segment Producer and a member of the Production team
When I was asked to help as a Segment Producer I had mixed emotions (excited and scared). Excited because it`s my first time to be part of the production team and Scared that I might not be able to meet the expectations of a Segment Producer. There were alot of harassments during the preparations and at times I felt like giving up. I felt so unworthy as I couldn`t complete the princesses for the praise and fashion. We even had a hard time rehearsing for it. Some of them didn`t have gowns to wear a day before the conference! Whew, just imagine the pressure I felt....But because I believed in this conference and in the whole production team , I just prayed and trusted God for everything. And just like the song I chose."Miracles Happen", God proved His faithfulness and true enough, miracles happened on that day. The Praise and Fashion was part of the success of the whole conference, the princesses were all so pretty and captivating.I honor each princess who joined and the everyone who helped out especially those who were asked to join a day before the conference, the SFC Danz Min and those who sponsored the gowns that the princesses wore that day. God also made me realized that in times of difficulties, He is always there. And when I have done my best, all I am left to do is TRUST Him with all my heart. This conference proved that I just have to say Yes and He will never abandon me.
Congratulations again to the whole Production and PFO team of Princess Diaries, I am really honored to have been part of this great banquet of God!
