This is my third year run as a mission volunteer in europe and it has been one of the most life changing decisions i have ever made. Born and raised in a devout catholic family back in the philippines least to mention growing up in a country whose influence to my faith is on Christianity, supported my understanding who Jesus Christ is. but that’s what i thought until i migrated to united kingdom. The diversity of culture and the social climate could either overwhelm you to the point of just joining in the whole crowd whose beliefs is diversied as much as the culture.
But god has repeatedly called my name and it was not until i made a personal discernement to do missions inside and outside uk that everything made sense, i am indeed at home in Christ . His goodness astounds me and my heart could only compel to worship him more and more.
The 2nd SFC European Leaders Forum which was held in Vienna, Austria from 3rd to 5th of April united and inspired once again all single men and women who stands out as leaders and mission volunteers from their respective countries. indeed God reassured me that he is ever so present and is working with us in all our endeavors. His spirit moves and so are we. there is no other way, truth and life apart from Him ( John 14:6 ), the source of every gift, blessing and treasure we all enjoy and have pleasure from. The highlight of this forum is sharing one global SFC vision - “Every single man and woman all over the world will experience Christ“.
The sparks comes therefore from polishing and purifying ourselves within and here is our shout for europe “ ABLAZE ” . being anchored in christ, bless to witness, led by the Holy Spirit every single moment, armed for the battle ,zealous in our purpose , enthusiatic at all times.
Life as a mission worker in europe means challenge, change, pursuit of the vision but above all witnessing christ to all, mission without bounderies. this process of course starts off with myself, in all my undertakings, in times of adversities, to all people that i meet no matter what race they have, walking in faith and in peace. The mere simple gesture of being graceful in all circumstances is allowing the spirit to work thru me and use me as a tool to bring across love to all my brethren. Love in every language( John 13: 34-35 ).
